Richard deCosta has been producing and recording music since the late 1980's, in nearly every style imaginable: classical, rap, country, African, jazz, electronica and even opera. Over the years he has served as producer, recording, mixing and mastering engineer on over 50 CD projects, three DVDs, and a host of single releases.

Over the years, Richard has developed a distinctive sound, which often combines very different styles of music to form a cohesive whole. On African Gospel Rhythms' first CD release, "Project Maine", Richard combined traditional African drums with bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals with a full orchestra to produce an entirely new sound for the band.

Richard is also a seasoned session drummer, with nearly 20 years of experience. He has played in as many styles of music as he has produced.
